Popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has made a statement addressing human rights activist and lawyer Femi Falana, along with his son Folarin, known as Falz.

Bobrisky has urged them to hold media critic Martin Otse, also referred to as VeryDarkMan, accountable for the defamatory statements that are spreading on social media.

Bobrisky clarified that he did not provide any financial compensation to Falana or Falz in relation to securing a presidential pardon during his legal troubles.

This response came after Falana and Falz demanded a public apology and a retraction of the alleged defamatory remarks made by Bobrisky in audio recordings that have been circulating online.

According to reports, in one of the recordings shared by VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky alleged that he had a conversation with Falz, asking for help in convincing his father, Falana, to assist in obtaining a presidential pardon, which he claimed would require N10 million.

The crossdresser further claimed that he requested N3 million from Falz to receive special treatment at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre.

In another audio recording shared by VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky stated that he had paid N5 million upfront to a Senior Advocate of Nigeria in an effort to obtain a Federal Government pardon regarding charges brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

However, a letter dated October 14, 2024, from Falana’s legal representatives, Olorunfemi Akinyemi and Taiwo E. Olawanle, accused Bobrisky of making false and defamatory statements concerning Falana and his son’s alleged involvement in bribery and the pardon process.

The legal team characterized Bobrisky’s allegations as completely baseless and harmful to Falana’s reputation.

They demanded a full retraction and public apology to be issued across all platforms where the statements were disseminated.

In response to this demand, Bobrisky maintained that he never provided any money to either Falana or his son for the purpose of obtaining a presidential pardon.

The crossdresser emphasized that the individual who shared the defamatory content should be held accountable for their actions.

“I Okuneye Idris aka Bobrisky didn’t give Falz or his dad any money for pardon. As a matter of fact, no penny was given to them. Have said this before and I will say it again.

The person that published an audio online should take full responsibility for what he posted in public.

“My lawyer will respond to any further information the public wants about this ongoing issue trending on social media,” Bobrisky wrote on his Instagram story on Wednesday.

In a recent statement, the individual known as Okuneye Idris Olarewaju, also referred to as Bobrisky, addressed letters circulated by the law firm of the Falanas.

In his response, he clarified that he has not made any defamatory statements regarding the legal professional and his son, Falz.

He emphasized that, as stated in his solicitor’s letter dated September 27, 2024, he has no knowledge of the content published by VDM.

This statement aims to clear any misunderstandings regarding his involvement or statements about the matter.

“I stand to express denial and put the matter to strict proof and advise that whoever has been defamed should hold the publisher of defamatory content and my fundamental rights to privacy of my communications should be respected and protected. Best.”
