The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited is looking to partner with reputable and credible Operations and Maintenance firms to manage and maintain the Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company as well as the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company.
In a post on X dated Friday, August 30, the NNPCL announced its intention to engage reliable operations and maintenance companies to oversee the operations and maintenance of the Warri and Kaduna refineries. The post included a copy of an Expression of Interest from the NNPCL, outlining that the selected companies will provide services for the Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC) and the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC).
The post stated, “EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) for the Provision of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Services for NNPC Limited Refineries (Combined Tender): Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC) and Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC).”
“NNPC Ltd is looking to engage reputable and credible Operations & Maintenance (O&M) companies to manage and maintain its two refineries, Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC) and Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC), ensuring reliability and sustainability to fulfill the nation’s fuel supply and energy security obligations.
The O&M tender for WRPC and KRPC will be processed as a single tender through a three-stage approach (EOI, Technical, and Commercial), capitalizing on all potential opportunity costs related to the procurement of consumables, personnel management, and the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS), Warehousing Management System (WMS), and more.”
NNPC CEO Mele Kyari recently confirmed that the Port Harcourt refinery is set to begin operations this August. He also indicated that the other three refineries located in Kaduna and Warri are expected to commence operations in the latter half of 2025.
