Preliminary investigations by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have unveiled a disturbing plot to destabilize the nation, involving orchestrated and funded violent protests, the spread of misinformation, and various unlawful activities aimed at creating anarchy to justify an illegal coup against the democratically-elected government.
Key findings point to the involvement of Andrew Wynne, a British national known by aliases including Andrew Povich and Drew Povey. Authorities allege that Wynne established a network of sleeper cells designed to facilitate the overthrow of President Bola Tinubu’s administration. He reportedly rented a space at Labour House in Abuja, where he operated an establishment called ‘Iva Valley Bookshop’ and launched the ‘STARS of Nations Schools’ as a front for his subversive operations.
Muyiwa Adejobi, the spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force, stated that documentary evidence and confessions obtained during the investigation indicate that Wynne was instrumental in financing and guiding operations aimed at toppling the elected government.
According to Adejobi, Wynne is believed to have mobilized and funneled several billions of naira to his Nigerian associates, urging them to incite the public to violently assault police stations and military barracks. The plan, as alleged, anticipated a violent uprising that would provoke international outrage against the Nigerian government.
The police have vowed to continue their investigation and take necessary actions to safeguard the stability of the country. They are urging citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities that may threaten national security.
In a dramatic turn of events, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) announced on Monday, September 2, that it is seeking the whereabouts of a British national, Andrew Wynne, also known as Andrew Povich, alongside a Nigerian citizen, Lucky Obiyan. Both men are suspected of orchestrating a conspiracy to overthrow the government of President Bola Tinubu.
The allegations against Wynne include the establishment of a clandestine network of sleeper cells aimed at destabilizing the Nigerian government and inciting widespread chaos. Muyiwa Adejobi, the spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force, provided details in an official statement, revealing that Wynne had been utilizing a rented facility at Labour House, where he reportedly set up a school as a cover for his activities.
Adejobi emphasized that the NPF has initiated a thorough investigation into the involvement of foreign nationals and local accomplices in efforts to undermine Nigeria’s democratic governance through illegal means, including potential regime change and violent disruptions.
The police spokesperson further disclosed that, following extensive intelligence operations and cooperation with various security agencies, nine individuals have been arrested. These suspects are believed to have received significant financial support from external sources aimed at perpetuating unrest and destabilization in Nigeria.
The NPF urged the public to remain vigilant and report any information regarding Wynne and Obiyan, as they work to ensure the safety and stability of the nation.
