At least three students from Faudiya School in the Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State have been tragically killed by gunmen believed to be affiliated with Boko Haram.
Source indicate that the attack occurred around 3 am on Friday at the Faudiya School, which is associated with the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN). Eyewitnesses reported that the victims were asleep when the assailants stormed the premises, forcibly took the students outside, and shot them.
The Yobe State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, confirmed the incident, stating that he received a distress call about the attack. He reported that armed assailants arrived on motorbikes, equipped with AK-47 rifles, and entered the school premises, resulting in the deaths of three students. Furthermore, he mentioned that one of the injured students has been transported to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
